Overview of Affilorama

When I started reviewing Affilorama by Mark Ling, I was very confused by all the different products. I had to really study their site to uncover the real value.

The free membership is great for beginners just beginning to learn Affiliate Marketing and also for those who just want to learn more.

First of all, they have a free membership. I am a member of the free membership and have been enjoying the lessons. In this free membership you get:

  1. Downloadable e-book of the Roadmap to Affiliate Marketing
  2. access to Affliotools
  3. Over 80 Video Lessons
  4. Access to the forum
  5. AffilotoolsIs Afflorama by Mark Ling A Scam? What I Found Out!

Okay, I like free and I, of course, I want to know everything about Affilorama. The free membership is good. I found the lessons to be easy to understand and they also have written step by step instructions and easy to follow video lessons.

First, you download “The Roadmap to Success” pdf,  The “Quick Start Guide.” This ebook explains from the beginning assuming you are a newbie affiliate marketer exactly everything you need to know to get started in affiliate marketing. It is 32 pages long.

You can access the forum where you can interact with other members. It is not in real time even though it is called a “chat”. In my book, a chat is in real time. However, a forum can pack a lot of value regardless as you do get to know other members and learn from each other.

The Bottom Line

My Verdict – Affilorama is legit

Is Affilorama by Mark Ling a scam

Affilorama is LEGIT

It’s a great product to start with. There is a lot of good information and you can learn a lot. Although it does have a few drawbacks, overall I like the product and it is probably one of the best around. The only one that I think is better is Wealthy Affiliate. I may be biased because I am a member and have learned so much. I have 3 websites up and I am earning revenue.

In fact, Affilorama and Wealthy Affiliate are two of the most respected programs in the industry. However, if you put them side by side, Wealthy Affiliate offers more. You can try it for free here

If you join Affilorama and I do encourage you to join the free membership as there is a large amount of information and free lessons.  I am also a free member and I really am enjoying it. I like the forum also.

However, when you are ready to go further if you are wanting to really build a long term business and presence be ready to pay for the upsells:

Affilioblueprint – The step by step course for $197 – Sign in here.

Affiliojetpack – The “Done for you” course for $997 – You can sign in here.

Premium Affiloama membership – $67 each month – Sign in here.

Of course, the free membership is always free and I think it’s great and I fully recommend Affilorama’s Free Membership.

SO –

Is Affilorama by Mark Ling a scam? Definitely Not!

Take advantage of the free membership – sign in here.

However,  if you are wanting to go further take a hard look at Wealthy Affiliate. They have a free trial membership to check it out. The free membership at Wealthy Affiliate gives you 2 free websites and free training – you can take advantage of the free membership here.

Wealthy Affiliate is my # 1 Recommendation. Take a look at this chart:

  1. Hey there,

I’ve tried Affilorama a while back, although I’m not a big fan of their teachings, I think they are not very throughout and although they have been around for so long, the courses are rather thin and a little “hyppish”” to my preference. And the community is not active either.

I liked Wealthy Affiliate much more, on the other hand. Great community and always up-to-dare course. 😀

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Anh,

Thanks for your comment. I thought that the teachings are good overall but if you compare Affilorama to Wealthy Affiliate I absolutely agree that they are not a through.

I do not know of any product, program or University that can beat Wealthy Affiliate! You are right the community is awesome and they are certainly always up to date.

  2. Hi,
Thanks for the in-depth review on Affiliorama.
Your comparison to Wealthy Affiliate is a good one and I think clearly shows WA to be the better choice.

When I looked into Affiliorama I thought that some of their training methods were a bit outdated whereas WA are constantly on top on the changes in the SEO world – would you also agree with that conclusion?

    1. Hi Emma,

Thanks so much for your comment.

I do agree with you. Affilorama does have a long way to go to beat Wealthy Affiliate. I also did see some things that I do not agree with and also some outdated info also.

As you point out, being up to date as things change is very important.

  3. This was actually one of the first choices I was going to go for when I first came online to start up a business – I actually went with a Canadian group in the end but I hear this is okay and legit…?
I quite like the fact that they offer over 80 video lessons for you to learn from – I much prefer learning visually than learning from text.
Did you stay a member for long?

    1. Hi Chris,

      Thanks for your comment.

Yes Affilorama is legit. The thing is that if you compare the free membership to Wealthy Affiliate’s Starter membership, Wealthy Affiliate wins out time and time again. There is just so much more to Wealthy Affiliate even if you remain a free member as you have free websites and hosting.

Of course, if you are serious about a business online, the premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate also is head and shoulders above the Affilorama premium membership.

However, I will continue to be a free member at Affilorama and enjoy reading and watching their videos. I really just signed up as a free member so the answer to your question is “I have been a free member at affilorama for about a month so far.

You mention that you like to learn from text. That’s another thing about Wealthy Affiliate, yes they have videos but so much written also. In fact, the members put up training all the time that is text and not video.

  4. Hey Cynthia
Thanks a lot for this review, I was in a real need for it.
I heard about affilorama about 3 months ago and I signed up in it back then. Then when I took a look at the site after signing up I felt, as you said, a bit confused as there aren’t free step by step guides. So I ignored it.
But since then, I constantly receive emails from them about new lessons. But actually these emails made me feel that this site is a scam or at least non realistic. The lessons were sort of “learn how to make 6 figures income from bla bla bla”, and stuff like that. That made me feel that they aren’t realistic at all.
But after reading your review and that there are helpful lessons and contents on the site, I thinking I will try to give some time browsing the site trying to benefit from my free membership. At least I candidate benefit from their forum I guess.
Thanks again for your review and looking forward to more valuable articles from you.

    1. Hi 3esso,

Thanks for your comment. I agree that at first glance, Affilorama may appear like it is not legit. I think it is because of the way the information is presented. I don’t think they should send out those types of emails but I think they are trying to get your attention as a lot of people are excited when they hear that type of talk! It makes them seem like a scam as scammers use those types of tactics.

However, Affilorama is legit and I have gleaned some good information from my membership. The forum is a great place to interact also. The free membership does have a lot of value to offer. It doesn’t compare to Wealthy Affiliate though!

  5. There are many ways to make money online for affiliate marketers. I think I’ve heard of every one out there.i never knew which ones were scams and if any were truly legitimate.
While you you say about Affilorama may be true it could be the answer for many marketers online searching to make money.
But for me Wealthy Affiliate is the only program that I ever joined and trusted. They have never once gave me the feeling of being dishonest and a scam.
The only way to know is the find out and join for free. That’s all it costs and they have the best training and support.

    1. Hi Rob,

Thanks so much for your comment. It is so true! There are so very many ways to make money online and the scams are many.

I agree with you Wealthy Affiliate is the best in my opinion also. They are the real thing and it is so easy to try for free. I am a member and I really don’t need any other program. Everything you need to make an income online is here at Wealthy Affiliate.

  6. I have been aware of this community and understand it has a pretty good reputation. I recall looking into it years ago. I think the upsells put me off. When there is so much to upsell, I often think the basic purchase isn’t going to get me anywhere.
I prefer Wealthy Affiliate for that reason. It’s all upfront with one price.

    1. Hi Dianne,
Thanks for your comment. I am a free member of Afflorama but hardly log in because I am gaining so much knowledge from being a member of Wealthy Affiliate. You are right, Wealthy Affiliate does not pull any punches, what you see is what you get. One low price for tons of value.

  7. The Mark Ling draw was a reason I was interested in learning more about afflorama. I did not get as far as you did with the free membership though. I thought it looked very off and the pricing schematics scary for just opening the door to affiliate marketing. I did try wealthy affiliate though. I have been very happy with them. They have a membership I can understand and pricing I can fit in a budget for a new business. I have actually begun to see it start to pay for itself in just under 5 months. I think I will stay where I am at. It is nice to see a validation that I made the right decision. Even if Afflorama is not a scam.

    1. Hi Christina,
Thanks for your comment. I agree Wealthy Affiliate does have an easy to fit in a budget pricing. I find too that there is a lot lacking with Afflorama when it comes to community and being able to contact the owner directly. I find it refreshing that we can private message Kyle or Carson if we need to.

  8. Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for writing this review. I think that 80 lessons as part of the free start up membership sounds great. Pitty there are lots of upsells from there that can skyrocket your costs to $1500 per year. $1 for 30 days sound very reasonable as well and then the 60 day free trial sounds great.
You said that Wealthy Affiliate is better. I was just wondering which aspects of Wealthy Affiliate you like the most? Which ones have really made a positive difference to your three websites?

    1. Hi Glenys,
Thanks so much for your comment. You are so right. The upsells in Afflorama can be a little daunting. Wealthy Affiliate is straightforward in the pricing and I really appreciate that. The best thing about Wealthy Affiliate to me is the community and the live broadcasts every week. Every time I log into my dashboard at Wealthy Affiliate, everything is always popping. The chat is always active with members sharing information and the discussions in the classrooms are so informative. You can find an answer to just about anything you have a question for.
Wealthy Affiliate is the reason why I have my websites. I tried for years to be successful with a website and it was only after I found Wealthy Affiliate that I finally got real guidance and felt like I am doing things the correct way and began to see real success!
